  Welcome

To help support our Ventura County Office of Education CMS system this site has been created to provide our customer's with material for maintaining your district's VCOE hosted CMS site. This help resource contains how-to's and examples of on creation of site content as well as administration of site users.

The VCOE Content Management System (CMS) is a web based system for creating and managing content for your public web site. The purpose of using the CMS is to create an user friendly environment for creating web content that does not require a high level of experience in web design and administration. Since the CMS is purely web based it also does not require you to install any local software authoring tools.

In addition to content creation CMS has managment capabilites such as setting start and expiration dates for content and contorolling authoring access. Maybe the biggest advantages of all is that it allows you to concentrate on the task at hand, creating content and not getting wrapped up in the technical and graphical design aspect of web authoring.
