The Ventura County Office of Education has embarked on a new vision for our hosted web sites. With new technology available for management of the sites, we have deployed a "Content Management System". A content management system (CMS) provides the hosted site with:
  • Standardization across all your sites
  • Continuity in design (Site design will brand each site with a unified color scheme allowing site visitors to better understand the way your organization is structured)
  • Ease of use by site authors 
  • No specialized software installed on workstations (maintenance is done through the web)

To assist our users we've created cms.vcsso.net as a self service help resource for creating and managing content on your CMS site. Here you can find information, how-to's and examples on using the VCOE CMS. Find out more of what the VCOE CMS is and learn some of it's basic concepts and building blocks.

CMS Version Upgrade
We are currently in the process of upgrading our CMS sites to the most available version in order to make available some new modules and enhancements to existing modules. We will also begin updating this site as well in support of the upgrade. Feature enhancements to any of your existing modules will not effect how any of your current content is displayed. 
CMS Editor
In order to create more rich content some of the modules employ the use of the CMS built-in editor. The editor allows you to input just about any type of HTML content you wish. The editor also contains handy features such as 'Paste From Word' and both image and document upload capabilities.
